PASTOR
Reinier Noppers
After spending a number of years as a clock and watchmaker, Reinier trained for ministry at the Reformed Theological College, in Geelong, Victoria. He has served as a pastor in Melbourne, Victoria, then in Hamilton, NZ, and more recently in Perth, Western Australia. He began serving in Bishopdale Reformed Church late 2019.
Reinier is married to Trudy, and they have four adult children, and one grandchild.
Reinier has felt a call to ministry for most of his life, and is deeply humbled that God would choose to use him in this way. His greatest delight is seeing people come to and grow in their faith.
PASTOR
Matthias Schat
Matthias grew up in Perth, Western Australia. After spending two years in Scotland, he undertook his training for the ministry in Ontario, Canada. Upon completion of his studies, Matthias accepted the call to Bishopdale Reformed Church to serve as pastor in 2023.
Matthias met and married his wife Kailee in Perth. They have a little son and are thankful to be able to live and serve here in Christchurch. He is excited to be able to preach the wonderful news about Jesus Christ here in Bishopdale.
