GET INVOLVED

There's always plenty going on! Below you'll find some of the things we are involved with. Our aim is that through these programmes we would equip children, young people and adults for a lifetime of following Jesus. Please get in touch if you'd like to get involved.

KIDS

SUNDAY SCHOOL

At Sunday School our aim is to introduce and develop children's understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Activities are used to help reflect on the lessons taught. Years 4 - 7 at school meet before church. 3 years old - Year 3 meet during the worship service.

CADETS & GEMS

Christian living and hands-on activities for children in Years 5 - 10 meeting at the church on Monday evenings. Involves Bible teaching, crafts, scouting activities with a time of group sports/games.

YOUTH

YOUTH GROUPS

Youth groups are a place where young people can meet together to grow and encourage each other as disciples of Christ. "Youth group" is for Years 10-13 and meets fortnightly on Friday nights. "12:One groups" are for Year 13+ and meet weekly on various nights.  Both these youth groups meet for Bible study, service and fun activities.

CATO

Short for catechism, it is a Bible class for young adults. Younger groups spend a year in each of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Older groups progress into tackling questions about the doctrine, how we can better know God and how we can follow Christ in a rapidly changing society.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Small group Bible studies tailored especially for women. These run Monday evenings & Wednesday mornings during school terms. Crèche is available for Wednesday.

MIDWEEK FELLOWSHIP

Small group Bible studies are held on the second and fourth Wednesday night of every month. These groups meet at various homes of people within our church.

Our desire at Bible study groups is for people to grow in their understanding of the gospel through the Scriptures, and to deepen relationships with each other.

ADULTS

KIDS' CLUB

Kids' Club runs on Thursday afternoons during the school terms. Children from a local primary school "ride" a walking school bus to our church building and participate in games, a Bible message and fun activities.

CRAFTY KIDS' CLUB

Crafty Kids' Club is a fun-filled holiday programme for primary-aged children in the school holidays. The programme is centred on children's crafts with Bible songs and a Bible message.

SOUP KITCHEN

Our street outreach runs on a Monday night, serving food for the body and soul to the street community in inner city Christchurch.

GLOBAL MISSIONS

The Overseas Mission Committee has been established to help inform, educate and inspire the church about our missionaries serving in various countries around the world, such as Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Asia, Australia and others.

We also aim to be a strongly supportive team for those individuals and groups who have a passion for serving on short-term missions, and we help enable them to do this.
